I can't believe it's November already! The holidays will be right around the corner. So before all of that madness hits I wanted to take a moment to thank my advertisers!
Is it just me or are people starting to talk about Viva Las Vegas early this year? It must be the killer line-up, which finally includes Brian Setzer! Promoter Tom Ingram says that tickets are selling much faster this year and expected to sell out as soon as February.
If you are not familiar with Viva Las Vegas, it is the world's largest rockabilly weekend. It has been going on in Las Vegas annually for the past 18 years. Viva attracts the best bands of today and legends of the past. The classic car show, tiki pool party and burlesque show are also huge attractions. There are also great vendors, records hops, a vintage fashion show and slide shows. If you are interested in everything rockabilly, this is the place to be! Next year's Viva Las Vegas is set for April 14th-17th 2014. I'm booked and ready to go. Are you? If not, get your tickets now on their website!

Welcome back to Cats Like Us! I'm sure you have heard of Cats Like Us before, but if not, Cats Like Us is a retro style clothing boutique selling new fashions with classic styles from the 1940's, 50's and 60's in modern fabrics and contemporary sizes ranging from XS to XXXL. They offer a unique selection of hand selected styles and gifts for men, women and children in modern sizing. They are based out of western New York but have a great online store also! They have lots of great new items right now, including items from Heart of Haute, Sparklelux and Nicole Katherine Designs. I picked out these items to show you because I love this art from El Gato! If you are just getting into retro styles, Cats Like Us is a great place to start. The owners are so nice too, so you can feel good buying from them! They also have a fun blog, including one post where you may recognize someone, so check it out!
I am so happy to have Bow & Crossbones back on the blog! If you are not familiar with Bow and Crossbones, it is an independent UK based website offering jewelry, clothing and home wares. Bow and Crossbones was started in 2008, with one woman who was unimpressed with the selection of vintage reproduction jewelry on the market. She started making jewelry by hand and it was an instant hit! And so Bow and Crossbones was born! They recently re-did their website and it looks great. They have new Lucite pieces up, a new Mexican inspired collection and more tiki stuff! Check it out and support this awesome company!
Happy Thanksgiving! This year I am thankful for the advertisers that keep this website going. Since people seem to now associate Thanksgiving with shopping, I thought it would be the perfect time to kick off our Annual Holiday Shopping Guide! So without further ado, let's talk about these awesome companies!
I still have a few great items listed in my Etsy store: Rockabilly Socialite Vintage. I recently re-listed everything in my shop with new SALE prices because I am closing up the shop asap. Check it out, you may find something you can't live without, like this Lilli Ann coat or this 60's lurex set!
