I recently saw this lovely fishnet corset on Orchard Corset's Instagram page and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I wanted it so bad! It is the perfect blend of beauty and functionality. It is pretty enough to wear over your tops and dresses, which is very rare to find, but still a functioning waist training corset that you could wear under your clothing also. They were also having a sale so it was only $65 and came in just a few days.
This is Orchard Corset #CS-201 Underbust Mesh Waspie. It comes in black and tan. I liked the black so I got that one. It has spiral and flat steel bones. So this is a legit corset, not a "corset top" like you can get at the mall. The front features all metal grommets and the back has a 4in modesty panel. I need the modesty panel because I hate the look and feel of my back peeking out through the laces. Ick! This corset also has a waist tape reinforcement and bi-directional lacing. I found the laces to be quite long, so I wrapped them around the waist once before tying, but I have been told that this can lead to breakdown of the mesh. So, I may just shorten the laces to suit me better.
This corset worked better for me than others I have tried because it is not too long. I think it works well on short torsos like mine. As you may be able to tell, I am naturally hourglass shaped with a large bust/hip to waist ratio. I think my waist is 10in smaller than my hips, making me a true hourglass by definition, before a corset. Therefore some corsets can make me look a little too extreme for my tastes. So, I have been searching for the perfect one. I really like this one and I am quite pleased with it. It is very comfortable. I am able to wear it all day, sit and eat with no problems.
If you think this corset may work out for you, give it a try! You can order it via their website and have it in a few days. If you have this one, as many of my IG friends have mentioned, leave a comment below letting me know how you like it!
Many thanks to Orchard Corset for the fab corset!
