If you read The Rockabilly Socialite often, you may notice that I love small businesses, especially those based out of LA, and doubly if they are run by strong women. One of these has popped up on my radar recently: Kinny & Howie Retro Boutique! In case they are not on your radar yet, we wanted to introduce them to you!
Kinny & Howie is a small online retro boutique that specializes in women’s fashions from retro to modern styles. So whether you prefer the classic look of 1950’s styles, the glam pinup look or the modern indie look, they have you covered. They don't just have clothing either, they also have shoes and accessories.
Kinny & Howie also has a house brand line of dresses produced in and from fabric and trim made in the USA. The owner, Courtney Collins describes the line as “dresses that are designed for real women with fit as the highest priority. The bodices are designed to hug a figure however curvy or not.” This house line of dresses are only available at kinnyandhowie.com, so accept no imposters.
I personally love the Samma Dress in leopard print. I can totally see that dress transitioning from a pinup look with red accessories to a rock n roll look with black boots and a leather jacket. It is a very versatile piece! I also love the Patrice Dress in that fun 60’s retro print. If you are more of the “little black dress” type, than the Diana dress is perfect for you. I love that neckline! Very demure but sexy at the same time.
If you love a bargain (who doesn’t?), make sure to check out their sale section. It is very large! They also have a newsletter you may want to sign up for so you can be alerted of sales and coupon codes. They are also on social media, so make sure to check them out on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
