Dollie's Tiki-rific Birthday Party

8:00 AMDollie Simpson

We recently celebrated my birthday at The Tonga Hut. It was a really fun party so I made sure to take some photos to share with you all. I wore my new "Dollie dress" in Shaheen tiki god print from Rockabillybettie's.

If you have never been to The Tonga Hut, it is the oldest continually operated tiki bar in LA. It opened it's doors in 1958 and still retains a lot of the original features and all of the original charm. It was the perfect location for a low key party. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They make the best tiki drinks! They even made a signature coconut lime shot and named it "The Dollie" in honor of my birthday. The Tonga Hut also has a late night taco cart and allowed me to bring my own cake (a vegan coconut lime cake I made) so that the guests didn't go hungry.

Don't I have some great looking friends? Thank you to everyone that came and made my birthday special. I really love and appreciate all of you!

Have any of you ever been to the Tonga Hut before?

XOXO
Dollie

  2. We had dinner here which was fantastic. The bar staff was professional and courteous! I had grilled chicken with avacado, tomato and artichoke hearts.

    1. Ohhh, that does sound good. You must have gone to the one in Palm Springs, as the one in North Hollywood doesn't serve food. I can't wait to check that one out next week!
