-Continued from my VLV 17 series-
This year we didn't spend a ton of time in the Pub because it's normally pretty crowded in there. We did find ourselves down there on Sunday night though, because we couldn't miss the Rhythm Bomb Records Showcase. Some of our favorite artists are on Rhythm Bomb, such as Dale Rocka (Italy), Miss Ruby Ann (Germany), and Jittery Jack (Boston). So of course it was an action packed show! It really wasn't even that crowded - we still had room to stroll!
Sadly, by this time in the weekend I was exhausted and had stopped taking pictures of my friends. These were the only three pictures I got of the crowd. Luckily, I still managed to take a lot of photos of the bands for you all! I wore a vintage Emma Domb from the Paul Brockmann collection. I haven't talked about my outfits much in these posts, so if you want more info, check out my OOTD posts on my Instagram.
Seeing the legends play at VLV is always a must. See these guys whenever and wherever you can. You never know how long they will be around. This year Narvel Felts, Carl Mann, Hayden Thompson and Sonny Burgess all played live. Some were a little slower than they used to be, sure. Carl Mann even performed sitting down. However, that did not detract from the sheer awesomeness of seeing these guys live.
They did a lot of their songs such as "Red Headed Woman", "We Wanna Boogie", and "Ubangi Stomp", plus a lot of other great classics!
I really appreciate each time I get to see them play. I know they appreciate playing for us as well! They all seem so genuinely happy to be back on stage again, even if only for one night!
Check out all of my video footage from Sunday:
After the bands were done I did one more lap around the vendors to look for deals. Sometimes the vendors (especially ones without full time stores) will really discount their products just to avoid packing them away. I made sure to grab a few more bras from V-Male and some tees from Atomic Swag.
We danced all night and into the early morning hours, finally getting into bed after 6am. We got a late checkout from the Orleans and then went to the strip to have a fantastic brunch at The Wynn. I can't wait to go back there when we are in town for the next Vegas rockabilly weekender- The Rockabilly Rockout!
This concludes my coverage of VLV 17! I hope you all enjoyed it. Thanks to Tom Ingram, the staff and all of the bands/djs/performers for putting together the best viva EVER!
