My friends at Heart of Haute (formerly Heartbreaker) recently sent me some of their items to share with you. I fell in love with Heartbreaker when I modeled for their spring catalog. So, of course I was honored to be sent some items with the new "Be Still My Heart" Heart of Haute label.
The first dress I have the pleasure of showing off is the Marie Dress in Azteca print. I wore it to a record hop and again on Cinco De Mayo. I paired it with tooled leather heels, vintage bakelite in red, white and green, and some red hair flowers.
This dress features a sleeveless V-neck bodice and an A-line skirt. The waist has a solid black panel that makes your waist look super tiny! There is also a matching belt that you can tie in a bow or remove all together. The Azteca fabric is really cool. It is a medium weight cotton with a black base and stripes, zig zags and triangles in gold, red, purple, green and blue. You can really match this dress with anything! They also paid close attention to the directions of the lines, making sure they lay the most flattering way possible on the body. Lastly, there is a zipper up the back. No troubles getting in and out of this one.
The Estelle Blouse is pretty much my favorite top ever. It is so versatile! When I wore the White Cherries Jubilee to work I paired it with a red skirt, white heels and vintage accessories. This top is so all American and perfect for summer!
I love the Estelle Blouse for the cut. It is perfect for work because the cap sleeves cover the tattoo on my arm. Also, it buttons up and has a collar. The bow is so classic and really makes this top stand out from your standard button up. The waist is cut in perfectly to show off your shape, but it's not too tight. The fabric is a quality cotton so you can't see through it. Most importantly, there is a tiny bit of stretch but not too much, so the buttons don't gap at the bust. I love all of the prints it comes in, from solid white to cherries and florals. Really, I could wear one of these every day!
Since the solid white was the most classically professional look, I chose to pair that with a black vintage skirt suit. It was perfect for my client meeting but could even work for an interview. It's sexy, but not too sexy.
On weekends when I am ready to relax, I love the comfort of the Marilyn Tee. It's super cute and figure flattering, but secretly terribly comfortable! I have this one in solid white and also this teal polka dot. I paired the printed one with some solid white vintage shorts, some wedges and a vintage hair scarf. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon out! This top is super soft, has good stretch and a tapered waist. Check out those perfectly finished seams inside. Only the best from Heart of Haute!
My last dress to share is really far out - the Super Spy Dress! This is one of Heart of Haute's most popular dresses since 2005. Once you get one you will know why. This 100% cotton black knit wiggle dress has 1/2 sleeves and a wide and short mock turtle neck. It hugs in all the right places, but is very forgiving and soooo comfortable to wear. I was really able to dance all night in this one. I wore it to an Outta Sites show and paired it with little flats, simple accessories and a ponytail. I let the dress do the talking. You can bet you will see this on me time and time again! Did I mention this dress is only $62? Heart of Haute is good quality AND very affordable! I am now hankering for the Trixie Top which has a similar cut - perfect for mod 60's looks!
I hope you enjoyed a look into these outfits as much as I enjoyed showing you. You can get any of these pieces from their website. You can also Like them on Facebook and follow them on Instagram to keep up to date on sales and new items. Thank you to Heart of Haute for being one of the very best vintage inspired fashion lines out there!
