We are already 1/3 of the way done with the VLV Fitness Challenge! I know, I can't believe it either! If you haven't committed to the challenge yet, or need to recommit, why not do it now? It's better late then never! Spring is coming whether you are ready for it or not.
Personal Update: Last week I had a bad week. Aunt flow was in town and I ended up going out that weekend and having a few beers. So, when I weighed-in that week I was up 2.8 lbs. This week I did a bit better, but I still ate a lot of Valentine's cookies (healthier homemade ones at least). This week I lost 2.4 lbs. So, I'm still up .4 lbs from my cleanse at the start of the challenge. I am okay with that though. But, I am ready to recommit to this challenge. I will have some fun this weekend for Valentine's Day, but I am being really good this week.
This Week's Goal: Increase intensity! You are about to have a full month of fitness under your belt. Now you are ready to kick up the intensity on your cardio routine. Treadmill fanatics should add incline to walk or run, elliptical devotees can take the resistance up a notch, and bikers should add a 30-second sprint every five minutes. No matter what you do, if you are at the gym walking on the treadmill, please don't hold on to the handrails! I see everyone doing this at the gym, and it kills the intensity! You could be burning so many more calories if you just let go! If you need a swift kick in the butt...
