Product Review: Vintage Inspired Garments by Desi-Roo9:25 PMDollie DeVille
I was recently contacted by the owner of Desi-Roo to feature her clothing line. Desi-Roo is vintage inspired clothing line based out of Los Angeles that specializes in tops made in limited quantities. Desi-Roo loves to feature vintage prints, so some tops made with vintage fabrics truly may be one of a kind!
I was sent the "Bunny Top" in a vintage ice skater print and in white. The Bunny Top features a deep V in the front and the back. The shoulder straps tie creating an adjustable fit. There is a back zipper that makes the top super easy to get on and off.
I was also sent a "Bootsie Blouse" in black and pink floral print. The Bootsie Blouse is a wrap style top that features puffed sleeves with elastic edges, a straight neckline and a low back V.
This top is meant to be worn with the straight across bust and the tie in the front (center photo), but being the rebel I am, I decided to try it on backwards (right photo). I think I actually prefer it backwards! Dare I say that this top could be reversible? I love the pink and green floral print, so I wanted to show it off! The top also comes in solid colors.
Not only does Desi-Roo have adorable tops, but they have darling earrings too! These vintage reproduction earrings look so much like the real thing, I was really surprised! This white pair features a pierced ear backing, where the pair below is a clip on.
I was so impressed with the quality of Desi-Roo's products. These tops are versatile and can be worn with jeans, capri's, shorts or skirts. The prints are so unique and fun. I love that they are made in small runs in the Los Angeles area. Most of her tops are $85, even the ones with rare vintage novelty prints! Soon she will be adding some new pieces, like rompers and skirts! You can purchase them on her Etsy page, until her website gets up and running. Desi-Roo is also on Facebook!
Thank you to the owner of Desi-Roo for allowing me to feature her wonderful pieces. I love being able to support small local businesses and share them with you all!
