I have made it my goal to catch up with last year asap. I do so much that I can't really share everything, but I try my best! I was going through all of my pictures and realized I haven't shared any of my Halloween festivities. I know how much some of my readers love Halloween so I thought I would throw it all in one long post. I hope you don't mind!
The Honeybee's Ladies Club got together for some Halloween crafting. We made paper mache pumpkins reminiscent of vintage folk art pumpkins. Reagan hosted and made a lovely vegan brunch for us. Later she also came to my house and we made canned pumpkin butter from scratch. It was delish!
These photos were from Halloween dinner. I served vegan chili in a bread bowl. I wrapped the bread bowl in orange tissue paper to resemble a pumpkin. I came up with that idea on my own and thought it was rather brilliant! It looked so cute at each table setting.
The weekend prior to Halloween we went to Amber Foxx's annual Halloween party. Each year it gets bigger and better, and this year was no different. She decorates every nook and cranny of the house, the front yard and the back yard. The collage above is just a snippet of all of the decorations she puts out.
Costumes are required at this party, so everyone dresses up. I wore a Jeannie costume I made out of a vintage pink nightie. I loved the Mickey Mouse Club group, Eddie Munster, and Nicole's "rockabilly" costume (yes, she has PRB cans in her victory rolls. Everyone's costume provided a great laugh. At the bottom center you can see Charles Phoenix with his meatloaf rat!
The next night we went to a pumpkin carving party at our friend Melissa's house.
It was great to spend the evening with Cate "Ruby", Alisha, Doris, Stephanie, Kevin, Tony, Kelly, Melissa, Bud and others. I carved a harlequin pumpkin. I think it turned out cute and it was pretty simple.
Thanks for everyone that allowed us to join in on their Halloween fun!
