Cooking holidays

Christmas Eve

2:01 PMDollie DeVille

Zack and I have always had a Christmas Eve tradition of having a nice romantic dinner just the two of us. Some years it gets hard with family in town for the holidays, but since it is a priority for us we always make it happen. We even like to dress up, even though we are just staying home.

Our Christmas tree was full!

The hound sleeping.

We love cooking together. Isn't a man who cooks hot?

We made a Monacan crusted rack of lamb

The picture came out fuzzy, but this was the table setting.

We garnished the lamb with fresh mint picked from the garden.

We paired it with cous cous, asparagus and pino noir.

I wore my Grew dress from Nicole Katherine Designs.

After dinner I let Zack open one gift, but the rest will have to wait until tomorrow!

XOXO
Dollie

  5. i think that is such a great tradition! we spend so much time running around at the holidays we don't really get to enjoy each other.
and your tree looks great, and that fireplace! my dad grew up and florida so they didn't have a real fireplace, but they had a fake one just like that!

Your silvery tree is fab, and your little "fireplace" is amazing :-)
