Jordan's Babyshower

Earlier this month I attended my friend Jordan's babyshower. Jordan and Memo are expecting a girl and everyone is so happy for them. Her shower was hosted by Miss Amber Foxx at the lovely Foxx casa. Amber being the fabulous host she is, planned a fantastic shower for Jordan. There was cute pink decorations everywhere, yummy little finger foods, and even pink champagne! They had planned all of these little games and had some great prizes to be won.

I volunteered to make a cake for the shower. I had no idea what I wanted to make. I just knew that it had to be very special for Jordan, and that I wanted to try fondant for the first time. After some searching I found this little baby cake and decided to give it a shot. It was pretty easy and I had a lot of fun making it. It was funfetti cake with vanilla frosting. Everyone was blown away! They thought it was professionally made, but nope, just me in my little 'ol kitchen. I was mostly happy that Jordan loved it. It was really tasty and there were no leftovers at all.

Almost too cute to eat. Almost.

Amber is the queen of cake pops, so now no celebration is complete without them. For the shower she made some uber cute baby girl cake pops. They were chocolate inside and oh so delicious!

There was also mini cupcakes and a whole dessert table.

This table was full of more little treats and lots and lots of presents!

Finger foods served on vintage dishes. Beautiful!

One of the games was baby shower bingo!

Recent Highschool grad Mary opening her prize.

Jordan was blessed with lots and lots of presents to open.

So happy!

This is her opening my gift, but I didn't get a very good picture of it.
I got her some diapers, some onesies, baby's first mary jane flats, and a pink vintage overall and bonnet set.

I think Mary was trying to hide from the camera in my hair.

With my good friend Sandra Sprague!

There were a couple ongoing games, one being that you couldn't say the word baby. I am great at these types of games and always win. Amber had some great prizes, so I walked out with a ton of amazing loot! After the shower had basically ended and most of the guests left the girls and I started playing around with the leftover baby cake parts. Then it was all down hill from there.

Nicole posing inappropriately with the fondant baby arm.
I couldn't NOT get a picture, right? So then we passed it around and all took funny pics with it!

Emily on the "phone".

Mary with a "mustache".

Of course Sandra goes for the Texas Long Horn.

Then I go and make it inappropriate again. When you gotta go, you gotta go!

Then Amber picks it up and puts it in her MOUTH!

I know what you are thinking. How rude of us to make these obscene jokes at our friends baby shower. But this is JORDAN we are talking about here. She may be pregnant, but she is still one "bomb ass chick" who knows how to party. That is a prerequisite of being our friend anyway.  So it would only be fitting that she take the most obscene picture:

Let I remind you that she was the only one NOT drinking!

That is one epic baby shower!!!

Did you buy the fondant readymade? I know like zero about it so I was wondering if fondant is like royal icing in that yes you can eat no you probably don't want to?
