My Secret to Vintage Hairstyling

12:20 PMDollie DeVille

I just wanted to take a moment to welcome my new followers,  and say thank you to all of my readers who have friends requested me on facebook. I am new to facebook. I think I am one of the last people to join the bandwagon. I love to meet my readers, and place a face to a name. Mainly, it makes me feel good to know that people all over the world are reading my blog, and enjoying it. That makes it worth all of the hard work.

I wanted to post something for Dani Walbrurgh in Scotland. She asked me about doing victory rolls. I get a lot of complements on my hair, so, I wanted to share my secret to anyone out there that may not know about it:
Vintage Hairstyling: Retro Styles With Step-By-Step techniques

I was good at doing hair, but once I got this book, I got much much better! This book has some great info on techniques and products. It also has a ton of hairstyle ideas. I got mine at My Baby Jo (link above) and I actually have the first and second edition. I love this book, and look at it again and again. It has a permanent home in my vanity drawer.

The author, Laura Rennells, has a fantastic blog with even more juicy tips and tricks:

She has info on the book, a link to where to buy it, and more on her blog. Also, she is working on a makeup book. I am soooooo excited for this, and can't wait to get it. Hopefully it will be before Viva, as I need that info pronto! he he.

Hey, you never know, maybe Laura will donate her book to The Rockabilly Socialite for her 200 follower giveaway. **hint hint**
